"Mycéden" is a temporary facility inaugurated at Paris-Plages 2025.
It all started with the desire to "collaborate" with a living material to create a biodynamic project. I chose mycelium, the root network of fungi, which is showcased for its organic nature and biodegradability in this project.
Its specific constraints guided my choices during design.
Suspended over the waters of the Canal Saint-Martin, this space for rest and contemplation invites visitors to stroll through a floating garden that combines micro-architecture with mycelial furniture. The on-site production of these structures is also highlighted for educational purposes.
