The project is located on the site of the former Truguet military barracks in Toulon, France's principal naval base. I seek to be inspired by these "war buildings" in creating a dynamic and interactive environment within this third place, where areas connect and come together to form a human ecosystem. Users are invited to come together, exchange know-how and create shared stories, thus developing a synergy between culture, social relations and the city's economy.
The idea is to transform this space by thinking of it like a ship. From the bridge (the ship's driving and command area) to the machinery area, by imagining furniture inspired by the world of seafarers.
