Rehabilitating the Truguet barracks as a third place for the arts: the challenge of bringing a complex geographical site back to life. Overshadowed by the multiple flows that pass through it, this historic building deserves full integration into Toulon's urban planning.
Behind its raw, mineral façade, evidence of its former military function, my project offers a pause, a parenthesis in the urban fabric: reinventing this space into a place of comfort, evasion and dreams. Using colours, veils and transparencies, the barracks invites us to rediscover its major asset: its green roof. Through redevelopment, this green space can become a cultural intersection, a place of hybridisation of usages and audiences.
