In a modern world where information overload and transgression are anchored in our daily lives, this dissertation shows how a movement has redefined the codes of artistic creation, as the symbol of an innovative culture that wishes to emerge from its reality. The psychedelic art of the 1960s and 1970s was an artistic movement born in a context of social, political and cultural revolution. By analysing this phenomenon across a range of media, from painting to music, from film to design, we demonstrate how this form of expression associated with the revolution of altered consciousness using LSD reflects a deep desire for freedom and spirituality.
