Throughout this dissertation, I asked myself about the place of colour training in interior design schools. How did these courses develop? How are they changing?
I outline the history of colour training by exploring the lessons offered by the Camondo school. I began with the earliest theories about colour from
the Bauhaus, which shaped French fine art schools. Using interviews and the school's archives, I traced the history of the colour course at Camondo. In parallel, I met with the stakeholders in this chromatic pedagogy to understand the challenges in and outside school.
The aim here is to build up a solid knowledge base from which to consider the future of this course.
